The Ecologist

For 35 years the ecologist has helped set environmental and political agendas around the world by focusing on the root causes, not just the after-effects, of current events. It is today the world’s most respected environmental affairs magazine.
The website proposes a free access to the magazine’s huge archives.

The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources - The World Conservation Union

The World Conservation Union was founded in October 1948 as the International Union for the Protection of Nature (or IUPN). It supports and develops cutting-edge conservation science; implements this research in field projects around the world; and then links both research and results to local, national, regional and global policy by convening dialogues between governments, civil society and the private sector.
The IUCN library is a repository of publications, periodicals, scientific and technical reports prepared by IUCN, its regional and country offices, commissions and partners. The website provides also recent news stories and press releases of The World Conservation Union and its network, a calendar of main events related to conservation and sustainable development throughout the year, and data and information on the state of biodiversity and ecosystems.

New Internationalist

New Internationalist Publications is a communications co-operative. It exists to report on issues of world poverty and inequality; to focus attention on the unjust relationship between the powerful and the powerless in both rich and poor nations; to debate and campaign for the radical changes necessary if the basic material and spiritual needs of all are to be met.
Its website proposes news related to globalization, global justice, environment, development and human rights; book, video and music reviews; country profiles and teaching resources and links to assist people who are learning about global issues.
