Forum for a new World Governance (FnWG)

We need to rethink world governance and, to achieve this, we must go beyond the conceptual and ideological foundations of the current system. The Forum for a new World Governance (FnWG) encourages the development and circulation of new ideas in several languages. In this perspective, it submits in-depth papers for public online debate on a regular basis, offers a documentary base on the most recent theoretical developments on global governance, and is compiling Proposal Papers on the key aspects involved in world governance. These are intended to collect the most relevant proposals for generating the breakthroughs and mutations necessary for the construction of a new, fairer, and more sustainable world governance.

This website enables users to consult many different resources on the subject of reform of the system of international institutions, including ACTORS, EVENTS and DOCUMENTS related to different reform THEMES. The site’s objective is to bring together information about reform of the international institutions. The editors do not necessarily share the opinions expressed by actors or in documents mentioned.
Users of this website will find generic lists of actors, events and documents relating to reform of the system of international institutions.

Focus on the Global South

Focus on the Global South is a program of development policy research, analysis and action. Focus engages in research, analysis, advocacy and grassroots capacity building on critical issues, such as trade, security, peace building and financing development. It was founded in 1995 and is currently attached to the Chulalongkorn University Social Research Institute (CUSRI) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The website has a monthly online magazine as well as details of campaigns, programmes and resources. Certain articles are available in French, Portuguese and Spanish and Bahasa Indonesian.

GRC Exchange

This website, begun in 2003, is hosted by the Governance Resource Centre (GRC) of the UK Department for International Development (DFID). It is designed to share the latest information about governance in development and is compiled by leading international experts.
The website has a database of key organisations working in the field of governance and an information database providing brief, policy oriented summaries of publications on governance, with contact information on the author and associated organisations, plus access to the full text online or through the document delivery service. There is also a section giving details of training and events in this domain.

International Forum on Globalization

The IFG is a North-South research and educational institution composed of leading activists, economists, scholars, and researchers providing analyses and critiques on the cultural, social, political, and environmental impacts of economic globalization. The IFG produces numerous publications, organizes events, hosts issue-specific seminars, coordinates press conferences and media interviews at international events, and participates in other activities that focus on the myriad consequences of globalization.
Its website proposes various documents about globalization, the WTO, the World Bank, the IMF and the United Nations.

Global Trade Watch

Global Trade Watch (GTW) is coordinated by Public Citizen. It promotes democracy by challenging corporate globalization, arguing that the current globalization model is neither a random inevitability nor “free trade.” Their work seeks to make the measurable outcomes of this model accessible to the public, press, and policy-makers, while emphasizing that if the results are not acceptable, then the model can and must be changed or replaced. GTW works on an array of globalization issues, including health and safety, environmental protection, economic justice, and democratic, accountable governance.
Their website provides different kind of information regarding WTO, NAFTA, offshoring and other globalization issues.
